Before he joined the team in October 2021, Allen worked for 18 years as a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, leaving his mark around the city as he assisted in projects that include the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, FirstEnergy Stadium, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, and more. Students training in the Carpentry training program can earn a pre-apprentice certificate of completion that offers registered apprenticeship opportunities and on-the-job experience. You can also earn industry-recognized credentials in scaffolding and certifications in construction safety from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Students should also earn a state-issued learner’s permit and driver’s license upon completion of the program.
